The Opportunity:
We are currently seeking an experienced Associate or Principal Contaminated Land Scientist to join their growing Environmental Services team. This role can be based in Brisbane, Melbourne, or Adelaide.

You will play a key role in leading contaminated land assessment and remediation projects across a diverse range of sectors, including infrastructure, energy, urban development, and government. You'll be supported by a multidisciplinary team of professionals and have the opportunity to mentor junior staff, drive technical delivery, and contribute to business development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and deliver contaminated land investigations, risk assessments, and remediation programs.

  • Provide technical leadership and review of reports, methodologies, and regulatory submissions.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders.

  • Contribute to proposals, bids, and strategic business development activities.

  • Mentor and support junior scientists and environmental professionals.

About You:

  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Environmental Science, Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.

  • Minimum 8+ years of relevant experience in contaminated land assessment and remediation.

  • Familiarity with national environmental guidelines (NEPM, state-based guidelines, etc.).

  • Experience liaising with regulators and managing multi-disciplinary teams.

  • Strong report writing, project management, and communication skills.

  • CEnvP or CPSS accreditation (or working towards) is highly regarded.
