AV Project Manager

This role is responsible for coordinating and managing Audio-Visual projects up to a value of $3 million. The position oversees projects from the planning stage through completion and billing, working closely with internal teams and external clients to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide sales support as needed
  • Manage commercial AV integration and installation projects for corporate, education, and government clients
  • Oversee communication and scheduling for each project, ensuring successful completion
  • Coordinate installation activities with clients, technical teams, and subcontractors
  • Establish and maintain project timelines and completion dates
  • Communicate project progress and changes to stakeholders
  • Conduct project meetings with technical and installation staff
  • Assist with scheduling internal teams and subcontractors
  • Coordinate equipment shipping and project documentation
  • Process change orders and ensure accurate billing
  • Track labor and material costs; invoice promptly to optimize cash flow
  • Maintain project records, including job journals and inventory forms
  • Stay current with emerging AV technologies
  • Provide technical assistance to field personnel
  • Approve material invoices and technician timesheets
  • Perform on-site inspections during project execution
  • Deliver closeout documentation, including as-built drawings, cable certification reports, and warranties
  • Develop and maintain subcontractor relationships
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Expert knowledge of AV systems design and integration standards
  • 3-5 years of recent experience in AV project management within commercial integration
  • Familiarity with planning and commercial construction processes
  • High school diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in the commercial AV industry
  • Ability to read and interpret scopes of work, blueprints, and line drawings
  • Hands-on technical experience as an AV installer or designer preferred
  • Experience with control system configuration and commissioning (e.g., Crestron, AMX, Extron)
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
  • CTS certification (or ability to obtain within one year)
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Ability to lift up to 10 lbs
