Aviation Project Manager/Engineer

This multi-disciplinary firm is looking for a dynamic and experienced Project Manager to join their Aviation Division. In this role, you'll collaborate with Airport Managers and Directors across the East Coast on a wide range of airport improvement projects that make a real impact on communities and the environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead airport improvement projects in collaboration with Airport Managers, Directors, and their teams.
  • Manage diverse aviation-related projects including transportation enhancements, airspace modeling, and environmental initiatives.
  • Work alongside a seasoned team of planners, environmental scientists, and construction professionals.
  • Travel to project sites as needed, with flexibility to work from any of our six offices or remotely.
  • Actively engage in the aviation industry and represent the team in professional organizations.
  • Oversee project execution, ensuring alignment with scope, budget, and schedule.
  • Mentor and train junior engineers and project staff.
  • Utilize established quality control systems and project management tools to ensure excellence.

Additional Duties:

  • Drive strong financial performance and client satisfaction.
  • Assemble and lead high-performing project teams.
  • Foster a collaborative and productive team environment.
  • Support business development efforts, including proposal preparation.
  • Monitor project quality and manage risk effectively.
  • Supervise a small team, supporting their development and workload management.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE)
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in MA, NH, ME, FL, RI, or CT-or ability to obtain reciprocity
  • 10+ years of progressive experience, including 4-6 years in civil engineering and 4-6 years in airport design
  • Strong communication, financial, scheduling, and client management skills
  • Project Management training

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Management, or related field
  • Additional PE licenses or NCEES record
  • Certifications in Construction or Project Management (e.g., PMP)
  • Contributions to aviation industry publications or presentations
