BAS Lead Specialist
Responsibilities
- Lead the technical delivery of building automation projects
- Program and configure BAS and DDC control systems
- Develop and modify system graphics
- Integrate HVAC equipment and third-party systems
- Perform system startups, checkout and commissioning
- Troubleshoot controls, network and integration issues
- Coordinate and provide technical direction to controls subcontractors
- Work alongside project managers, mechanical contractors and other project stakeholders
- Confirm systems operate in line with sequences of operation and project specifications
- Support customer training and project handover
- Maintain accurate technical and commissioning documentation
Qualifications
Required
- 3-5+ years of experience working with building automation or HVAC controls systems
- Hands-on experience with BAS programming, graphics, integration, startup and commissioning
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems and control sequences
- Experience working independently on commercial projects
- Ability to lead and provide technical direction to subcontractors
- Familiarity with BACnet and common building automation communication protocols
- Willingness to travel throughout Western Massachusetts with limited regional travel
Preferred
- Experience with Tridium Niagara
- Niagara N4 certification or relevant Tridium training
- Experience with Distech Controls
- Previous experience supporting heavy commercial or retail projects
- Knowledge of system integration, networking and multiple BAS platforms
