BESS Sales Manager
Position Summary
We are expanding our Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) business to support the rapid transformation of the energy sector. As demand continues to grow across C&I customers, utility‑scale projects, grid‑stabilization applications, and PPA‑based business models, we are seeking a highly driven BESS Sales Manager to lead business development, customer engagement, and end‑to‑end sales execution.
This role will be responsible for identifying new opportunities, crafting competitive proposals, and driving the adoption of BESS solutions in the Japanese market.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies for BESS solutions across C&I, utility‑scale, and grid applications
- Identify new business opportunities and build strong relationships with EPCs, IPPs, developers, trading companies, utilities, and large energy consumers
- Manage the entire sales cycle: lead generation, proposal creation, technical discussions, financial modeling, negotiation, and contract closure
- Work closely with engineering teams to coordinate system design, technical specifications, and feasibility studies
- Collaborate with procurement, finance, and legal teams to define commercial terms and ensure competitive and compliant proposals
- Conduct market and competitor analysis to support pricing strategy and product positioning
- Represent the company at exhibitions, industry events, and customer briefings
- Ensure smooth handover to project execution teams and maintain customer satisfaction
- Manage sales pipeline, forecasts, and reporting to senior management
