A well‑established heavy civil contractor is seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee field operations on concrete and infrastructure projects. This is a great opportunity for a strong field leader with experience in bridge construction or heavy civil work.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily field operations, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity
- Supervise crews performing concrete, structural, and civil construction activities
- Coordinate subcontractors, equipment, and materials to meet schedules
- Read and interpret plans and specifications to guide field execution
- Communicate with project management, inspectors, and project stakeholders
- Enforce safety standards and jobsite compliance
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience as a Foreman or Superintendent in heavy civil construction
- Experience with bridge construction preferred, but not required
- Background in concrete, structures, or general heavy civil work
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- OSHA certification preferred
