Building Automation Programmer - Colorado
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Building Automation Programmer to join our dynamic team in Colorado. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in programming and configuring building automation systems (BAS), with a passion for optimizing energy efficiency, system performance, and occupant comfort. This role involves close collaboration with a team of engineers, technicians, and project managers to deliver high-quality automation solutions across commercial and industrial facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, program, and commission building automation systems using platforms such as Tridium Niagara, Honeywell, Siemens, Johnson Controls, Schneider, or similar.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement control strategies for HVAC, lighting, and other building systems.
- Troubleshoot and optimize existing BAS installations to improve performance and reliability.
- Create and maintain documentation including control drawings, sequences of operation, and programming logic.
- Participate in project planning, scheduling, and client meetings to ensure successful delivery.
- Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in building automation.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in building automation programming and commissioning.
- Proficiency in one or more BAS platforms (e.g., Niagara AX/N4, BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks).
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems, electrical controls, and energy management principles.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Niagara Certified, PMP, LEED) are a plus.
