Building Enclosure Consultant
Are you a Building Enclosure Consultant looking to join a firm where the reputation, client base and pipeline have already been built for you?
We've partnered with an established, employee-owned engineering consultancy that has spent nearly 30 years building its reputation in the building enclosure market.
Originally founded in North Carolina in 1997, the business established itself across the Carolinas before continuing its expansion throughout the Southeast. Its growth has come alongside an increasingly diverse client base and broader building enclosure offering.
A big part of their success has been their relationship-driven approach to consulting. Rather than looking at projects as one-off pieces of work, the firm emphasizes long-term client relationships, collaboration and becoming an extension of the client's team.
For someone joining, that means stepping into an established operation with a strong regional foothold, long-standing client relationships and a reputation built over decades, rather than having to build everything from scratch.
What will you be doing?
- Building enclosure assessments and field investigations
- Investigating water intrusion, deterioration and performance issues
- Working across roofing, waterproofing, façades and exterior wall systems
- Developing repair and restoration solutions
- Preparing technical reports, drawings and specifications
- Supporting projects through construction administration
- Working directly with building owners, architects, contractors and other stakeholders
- Taking projects from initial investigation through design and construction
What are they looking for?
Ideally, you'll have:
- Experience within building enclosure, building science, restoration or existing buildings
- An engineering, architecture or construction-related background
- Knowledge of roofing, waterproofing and exterior wall systems
- Strong technical writing and field investigation skills
- The confidence to work directly with clients and manage projects
- PE, RA, RRC, RWC or IIBEC credentials would be advantageous
Why consider it?
This isn't an opportunity where you're joining a business still trying to find its place in the market.
You're joining a consultancy with:
- Nearly 30 years in business
- An established Southeast presence
- Long-term, relationship-led client work
- A strong reputation within building enclosure consulting
- Exposure to assessment, design, forensic analysis, construction administration and BECx
- An employee-owned environment with opportunities to grow alongside the business
