Our client is seeking a skilled Roadway Drainage / Hydrology & Hydraulics Engineer to support transportation and municipal infrastructure projects across the Chicago region. This role is ideal for an engineer with strong technical ability in drainage design and modeling, who thrives in a collaborative, fast‑paced project environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform drainage design for roadway, municipal, and flood control projects.
- Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) modeling, including analysis for stormwater systems, channels, culverts, detention, and related infrastructure.
- Develop floodplain mapping, impact assessments, and mitigation strategies.
- Support design and plan production for transportation-related drainage systems.
- Prepare technical reports, calculations, and project documentation.
- Coordinate with municipalities, counties, and other local agencies throughout project development.
- Collaborate with project managers, design teams, and subconsultants.
- Assist with QA/QC reviews and ensure technical accuracy of deliverables.
