Civil Construction Estimator

Company Overview:

We are working with a large general contractor with a strong reputation across public infrastructure, heavy highway, bridgework, mass earthwork, underground utilities, environmental, commercial, and industrial construction. The company has been operating for more than 60 years and is known throughout the state for delivering top quality work.

Position Summary:

Our client is seeking experienced Estimators to support heavy civil bids from early takeoff through final submission. This role is focused primarily on earthwork, underground utlity and site civil estimating and requires hands on experience with HCSS. The position works closely with senior estimating leadership and supports smooth handoff to operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs, bids and cost estimates for heavy civil projects
• Review plans, specifications, and bid documents to fully understand scope
• Solicit and level subcontractor and supplier pricing
• Support bid reviews, value engineering, and estimate handoffs
• Coordinate with estimating, project management, and field teams as needed

Qualifications:

• Minimum 4 years of experience in civil or sitework estimating
• Strong earthwork, utilities and/or highway/roadway background with required AGTEK experience
• Familiarity with civil drawings, grading, and underground utilities
• Experience with HeavyBid, Bluebeam, and Excel preferred
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet bid deadlines
• Clear communication and ability to work within a team environment
