Project Engineer Manager Land Development
Location: Chesterfield MO (On site)
I am partnering with a well-established and fast growing residential developer that is seeking a Project Engineer Manager for a key leadership role within its land development team. This position is ideal for someone with 5 to 10 years of residential land development experience who is ready to step into a larger leadership capacity. You will oversee projects, guide consultants, and mentor junior staff. Most design work is outsourced, allowing you to focus on coordination plan review permitting and driving projects forward.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead multiple residential land development projects from feasibility through construction
- Review grading utility roadway and site layout plans
- Manage consultants surveyors and subcontractors
- Oversee municipal permitting and approvals
- Conduct due diligence feasibility assessments and cost evaluations
- Collaborate with construction teams project managers and field staff
- Mentor and support junior engineering and CAD team members
What You Bring
- 5 to 10 years of residential land development experience
- Experience supervising or mentoring junior staff is a strong plus
- Background in consulting or residential design is highly valued
- Strong leadership communication and organisational skills
- Ability to operate independently with minimal oversight
- PE preferred but not required
- Team oriented and growth driven
