Civil Project Manager - St Louis
We are conducting a confidential search on behalf of our client, a nationally recognized civil and environmental consulting firm, for a Civil Engineer Project Manager with land development experience. This role is ideal for an experienced civil engineer ready to manage projects, work directly with clients, and play a key role in delivering complex site development projects from concept through construction.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage land development projects from conceptual planning through construction and closeout
- Prepare and oversee site layouts, grading plans, stormwater management systems, best management practices, and utility designs
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and local and state agencies throughout the project lifecycle
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and technical deliverables to ensure quality and on time performance
- Support permitting and regulatory approval processes
- Participate in bidding and construction phase services
- Mentor junior engineers and support team development
- Deliver high quality technical work with minimal supervision
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Master's degree preferred
- Five or more years of progressive civil engineering experience focused on land development
- Professional Engineer license
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, HEC RAS, HydraFlow, or similar design and modeling tools
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with commercial site development preferred
- Ability to independently manage multiple projects in a consulting environment
