💼 Salary Range: $100,000- $125,000 annually
A well-established engineering consultancy is seeking a Civil Site Engineer with 6-12 years of experience to lead and manage infrastructure projects for public sector clients, including municipalities and school districts. This role involves both design and client-facing responsibilities, with oversight of projects such as roads, utilities, public buildings, recreational facilities, and land development applications.
Key Responsibilities
Project & Client Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned municipal or public agency clients
- Coordinate all internal project efforts to meet client expectations
- Provide technical guidance and strategic solutions for infrastructure improvements
- Attend public meetings in the capacity of Municipal or Land Use Board Engineer
- Prepare and present reports on project status, proposals, and development reviews
Design & Engineering
- Design transportation, utility, facility, and hydraulic systems using CAD tools
- Perform calculations for load, grading, water flow, and material stress
- Analyze survey data, maps, and topographic information
- Conduct traffic and environmental studies to assess project impact
- Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and regulatory standards
- Identify and manage environmental risks associated with projects
Construction Support
- Provide technical support to field inspection staff
- Review shop drawings and coordinate with clients during construction phases
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- 6-12 years of experience in civil infrastructure design and project management
- Strong understanding of municipal engineering practices (preferred)
- Proficiency in CAD software and engineering analysis tools
- Excellent communication skills, including public presentation ability
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Occasional fieldwork with exposure to outdoor conditions
- Frequent computer use; occasional lifting up to 25 pounds
