About the Role:

My Client is seeking a driven and strategic professional to join a growing advisory team focused on helping commercial clients navigate the evolving energy landscape. This role is ideal for someone passionate about energy markets, sustainability, and delivering tailored solutions to businesses facing challenges like price volatility, reliability concerns, and carbon reduction goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Generation & Prospecting: Identify and engage potential clients through outreach, networking, and cold calling. This is a proactive, business development-focused role.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain long-term client relationships, ensuring satisfaction and retention.
  • Consultative Sales: Understand client energy needs and risk profiles to recommend customized solutions.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay current on energy trends, regulatory changes, and competitor offerings to inform strategy.
  • Sales Presentations: Deliver compelling, executive-level presentations that clearly communicate value.
  • Negotiation & Closing: Address client concerns, negotiate terms, and close deals to meet revenue goals.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with internal teams to ensure a seamless client experience and align on business objectives.
  • CRM Utilization: Use CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot) to manage leads, track progress, and optimize sales efforts.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in energy (e.g., retail electricity/gas, solar, demand response, sustainability) or a related field
  • 3+ years in B2B outside sales with a proven track record of success
  • Strong prospecting and business development skills
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
