Construction Manager
Construction Manager | Texas (Midland, Dallas, or El Paso)
A growing engineering and construction services firm is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead transportation infrastructure projects across Texas. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior professional with a strong background in highways, bridges, CEI, and construction management who is looking for a leadership role with significant client-facing responsibility and business development opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage transportation construction projects from initiation through completion
- Oversee construction personnel, field operations, and project resources
- Lead construction engineering, inspection, observation, and verification activities
- Coordinate materials testing and inspection programs
- Review project documentation for accuracy and compliance
- Monitor traffic control implementation and project safety requirements
- Review pay estimates and provide recommendations for contractor payments
- Document and monitor project conditions before and during construction
- Supervise and mentor construction inspectors and project staff
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships
- Support business development initiatives and marketing efforts
- Assist with proposal development, interviews, and project pursuits
- Represent the company at industry conferences and networking events
Qualifications
- 20+ years of construction management and/or transportation construction inspection experience
- Extensive experience with highway and bridge construction projects
- Proven project management and client management experience
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Construction Technology degree or similar field preferred
- Valid driver's license required
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred, or ability to obtain licensure if required by project needs

- TxDOT project experience
- Experience managing large transportation construction programs
- Seller-doer mentality with the ability to build client relationships and win work
- Experience supervising inspectors, project engineers, and field staff
