A growing Industrial Automation Systems Integrator is seeking an Automation & Controls Engineer to support control system upgrades, equipment integration projects, and custom automation solutions for industrial clients.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement industrial automation and control solutions.
- Develop PLC and HMI applications for manufacturing and process systems.
- Support electrical design activities including component selection, panel layouts, schematics, and documentation.
- Integrate automation hardware, drives, instrumentation, vision systems, and industrial networks.
- Participate in commissioning, startup, testing, and troubleshooting activities.
- Assist with project planning, scope development, and technical evaluations.
Qualifications
- BS in Engineering or equivalent education/experience.
- Experience with PLC-based control systems and industrial automation projects.
- Knowledge of HMI development, industrial networking, and controls integration.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work directly with customers and support projects from concept through startup.
Preferred Experience
- Industrial controls and automation system design.
- Electrical schematics and panel design.
- Manufacturing, packaging, material handling, or process automation environments.
- Motion control, machine vision, or SCADA technologies.
