A growing surveying and engineering firm in the Charlotte area is seeking an experienced Survey Crew Chief to lead field survey operations on a variety of transportation, land development, utility, and infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage daily field survey crews.
- Perform boundary, topographic, ALTA, construction layout, and as-built surveys.
- Operate GPS, robotic total stations, data collectors, and other survey equipment.
- Ensure accuracy, quality, and completeness of survey data.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, office staff, and clients.
- Maintain survey equipment and vehicles.
- Adhere to safety standards and company procedures.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience as a Survey Crew Chief.
- Proficient with GPS and conventional survey equipment.
- Experience with construction staking and boundary surveys.
- Strong understanding of survey principles and field procedures.
- Ability to lead field personnel and work independently.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Preferred:
- North Carolina surveying experience.
- Experience supporting transportation, utility, or land development projects.
- Familiarity with Trimble, Leica, Carlson, or Topcon equipment.
