About the Role
We are seeking a Design Engineer with expertise in Microsoft Visio to join our Building Automation team in Austin. This role focuses on creating detailed system designs, schematics, and documentation for building automation solutions, ensuring seamless integration of HVAC, lighting, and energy management systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Visio-based diagrams for building automation systems, including control schematics and network layouts.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and technicians to ensure accurate design documentation.
- Interpret architectural and mechanical drawings to create automation system designs.
- Support the development of control strategies and sequences of operation.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and client specifications.
- Assist in project planning, material selection, and cost estimation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Visio for technical design and documentation.
- Knowledge of building automation systems (HVAC, lighting, energy management).
- Familiarity with BACnet, Modbus, or other communication protocols is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with AutoCAD or similar design tools.
- Understanding of IoT and smart building technologies.
