Their offerings span corporate and institutional brokerage across energy, carbon, and environmental markets, supported by a proprietary software platform.

Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Associate Director or Director to lead the carbon advisory practice in Australia. Based in either Melbourne or Sydney, you will manage a 3-4 person team and play a pivotal role in advising carbon project developers and buyers on commercialization strategies, market engagement, and capital raising.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead advisory projects for carbon developers, including identifying ACCU buyers and structuring offtake agreements.
  • Act as subject matter expert for carbon within the capital advisory business.
  • Originate and grow a pipeline of carbon-related client projects.
  • Leverage proprietary ACCU price forecast models and develop new advisory offerings.
  • Create advisory-based content for the software platform and bundle platform offerings with advisory services.
  • Support expansion into policy and regulatory advisory in the carbon sector, both in Australia and internationally.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 10 years experience in Australia's carbon sector, including work with carbon project developers and ACCU buyers.
  • Strong commercialization expertise and understanding of the Safeguard Mechanism.
  • Experience in international carbon markets (especially Asia) is highly desirable.
  • Proven project management and team leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated ability (Director level) to originate and sell advisory work.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
