They are seeking an experienced professional to join their growing team and lead origination and structuring efforts for a diverse portfolio of energy projects.
The Opportunity
This role offers the chance to work at the intersection of development, commercial strategy, and finance. The Director will play a key part in commercializing both thermal and renewable assets by securing strategic offtake agreements and creating innovative solutions for emerging market needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Originate, negotiate, and execute power purchase agreements (PPAs), tolling agreements, and capacity contracts.
- Identify and evaluate wholesale power market opportunities across multiple ISOs.
- Design and structure creative commercial solutions tailored to customer requirements.
- Collaborate with internal teams-including development, finance, and engineering-to align strategies with project milestones.
- Engage with large-load customers, including data centers, to develop customized offtake strategies.
- Lead preparation of RFP responses and support due diligence for greenfield projects and acquisitions.
- Provide market intelligence and customer insights to inform future development initiatives.
Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of experience in origination, investment banking (energy focus), M&A, or contract negotiation and structuring.
- Strong understanding of U.S. power markets, including ISO/RTO structures, bilateral markets, interconnection processes, and regulatory frameworks.
- Advanced financial modeling skills and familiarity with project finance concepts; ability to assess and communicate the value of offtake agreements to senior stakeholders.
- Exceptional communication skills, with experience preparing proposals and presentations.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, and manage complex projects.
- Team-oriented, self-driven, and committed to high ethical standards.

- Travel within the U.S. (~25%) required.
