As Director of Engineering, you will lead the strategic development of our engineering division, shaping the design standards and execution of complex power delivery projects. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, specification, and technical review of engineering documents for substations, transmission and distribution lines, and energy storage facilities.
- Develop and implement engineering best practices and standardized processes aligned with industry codes and organizational goals.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable safety regulations, environmental standards, and utility requirements.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with project management, estimating, procurement, and business development teams to align engineering efforts with strategic objectives.
- Provide technical oversight, risk assessment, and resolution strategies across all phases of project execution.
- Forecast engineering resource needs and manage departmental operations to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
- Contribute to strategic planning and annual business development initiatives.
- Represent the company in technical forums, industry associations, and regulatory discussions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline (Master's preferred).
- Minimum 12 years of engineering experience, with at least 8 years focused on power delivery systems.
- Expertise in substation design, transmission and distribution systems, and utility-scale energy infrastructure.
- Proven ability to balance technical rigor, cost efficiency, and schedule demands.
- Experience working directly with utilities and regulatory bodies.
- Familiarity with renewable energy integration and energy storage technologies is a plus.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license strongly preferred.
