Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Director / Sales Manager to join our clients team for their business development efforts and drive revenue growth. This individual will play a critical role in expanding market presence, building strategic partnerships, and leading the sales cycle from prospecting to close.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with company goals.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the energy, utilities, and commercial/industrial sectors.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, including utility partners, facility managers, and sustainability officers.
  • Lead contract negotiations and close high-value deals.
  • Collaborate with marketing, product, and operations teams to ensure seamless customer onboarding and satisfaction.
  • Track and report on sales performance metrics and pipeline health.
  • Represent at industry events, conferences, and client meetings.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in B2B sales, preferably in the energy, utilities, or clean tech sectors.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong understanding of energy markets, distributed energy resources (DERs), or grid services is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; MBA is a plus.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience selling to utilities, ESCOs, or large commercial/industrial clients.
  • Familiarity with energy efficiency, demand response, or renewable energy solutions.
