The firm has approximately 30-40 employees, a strong technical team, and a long-standing reputation delivering commercial and residential building projects throughout the New York market. The current owner remains actively involved in the business and is looking to bring in a future leader who can help guide the next chapter of growth while maintaining the firm's strong technical standards and client relationships.
This position is ideal for either an ambitious engineer looking to grow into business leadership or an established industry professional interested in a clear path toward office leadership and ownership.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical oversight and engineering leadership across multiple projects.
- Review drawings, calculations, and construction documents.
- Support project delivery for commercial, residential, renovation, retrofit, and existing building assessment projects.
- Serve as a mentor to engineering staff and project teams.
- Assist with client management and strategic growth initiatives.
- Partner closely with current leadership on long-term business planning and succession efforts.
Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in New York, or ability to obtain NY licensure through comity.
- 10+ years of experience within MEP consulting engineering.
- Experience supporting commercial and residential building projects.
- Strong technical review and quality control capabilities.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Interest in taking on increasing business leadership responsibilities.
