The Role
The Director of Preconstruction will lead early-stage planning for some of the largest data center projects in the market. This role is about setting projects up for success-driving budgets, schedules, and design coordination from concept through to construction.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all preconstruction activities for multi-phase, hyperscale data center projects.
- Build and manage budgets, schedules, and risk assessments.
- Coordinate design development with architects, engineers, and internal technical teams.
- Lead procurement strategy, including contractor selection and negotiation.
- Drive constructability reviews and value engineering to optimize delivery.
- Mentor and manage a growing preconstruction team while working closely with project managers and senior leadership.
- Act as a key link between development, construction, and external partners to keep projects aligned and moving forward.
