About the Role

As the Flora Team Lead, you will guide a team of talented botanists and ecologists in delivering high-quality flora surveys, vegetation assessments, and ecological reporting. This is a pivotal role that combines technical expertise, project leadership, and team development, all within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage flora and vegetation survey projects across WA
  • Oversee fieldwork, data analysis, and technical reporting
  • Provide expert botanical identification and ecological insights
  • Engage with clients, regulators, and stakeholders to deliver tailored solutions
  • Mentor and support the professional growth of junior team members
  • Contribute to business development and strategic planning

About You

  • Tertiary qualifications in Botany, Ecology, Environmental Science, or a related field
  • Proven experience in WA flora identification and ecological survey methodologies
  • Strong leadership and project management capabilities
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Sound knowledge of WA environmental legislation and policy
  • A collaborative mindset and a passion for ecological outcomes
