Job Title: Electrical Designer
Location: Montgomery, Alabama
Overview:
My client is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Electrical Designer to join their growing team. This is an outstanding opportunity to work on a wide range of architectural and engineering projects for both public and private sector clients, with unlimited growth potential. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with CAD software and a strong foundation in electrical systems design.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with architects and engineers to gather project requirements and designs.
- Assist in the design of power distribution, lighting, lighting controls, fire alarm, and telecommunication systems (including security, television, audio/visual, intercom, PA, etc.).
- Develop detailed REVIT models and AutoCAD plans.
- Calculate material and equipment requirements and establish production methods.
- Assist in writing specifications for electrical equipment.
- Ensure design tasks are completed within budget and schedule.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, senior electrical engineers, and support staff.
- Conduct site visits for surveys, assessments, and field inspections.
- (Preferred) Contribute to Arc Flash Studies.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate's degree with 10+ years of experience OR Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 2-3 years of experience.
- Proficiency in REVIT, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong math skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
