A growing engineering group is seeking an Electrical Engineer with 5+ years of experience to support commercial, institutional, industrial, and mixed‑use building projects throughout the Atlanta market. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys technical ownership, project coordination, and delivering high‑quality electrical system designs.
What You'll Do
- Design building electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, grounding, emergency/standby power, and low‑voltage systems
- Prepare construction drawings, load calculations, one‑line diagrams, panel schedules, and specifications
- Coordinate closely with architects, mechanical engineers, and multidisciplinary project teams
- Participate in client meetings, design reviews, site visits, and construction support activities
- Review shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and assist with field verification during construction
- Support project planning, quality control, and timely delivery of engineering packages
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of electrical engineering experience within building systems
- PE license preferred (or on track to obtain in the near term)
- Strong proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
- Familiarity with NEC, energy codes, and applicable building standards
- Experience in commercial, institutional, healthcare, education, or industrial project types
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with clients and internal teams
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
