An established, forward-thinking engineering consultancy is seeking an experienced Engineering Supervisor to lead a portfolio of complex coastal and municipal infrastructure projects. About the Role
As an Engineering Supervisor, you'll provide technical leadership, strategic oversight, and operational guidance across a diverse range of infrastructure initiatives. You'll oversee multidisciplinary engineering teams, ensure quality project execution, and cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders-all while driving continuous improvement and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Leadership: Manage the planning, design, and implementation of coastal and municipal infrastructure projects, including flood protection systems, shoreline improvements, and resilience-focused developments.
- Team Management: Supervise, mentor, and develop engineers and technical staff, ensuring high performance and professional growth.
- Technical Expertise: Offer advanced engineering guidance, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements at the local, state, and federal levels.
- Operational Oversight: Coordinate project resources, schedules, and budgets to meet deadlines and deliver exceptional outcomes.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with clients, partners, and regulatory bodies to align project objectives with community and environmental priorities.
- Innovation & Quality: Encourage the adoption of modern engineering tools-such as AutoCAD Civil 3D and GIS-to elevate project efficiency and technical excellence.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (ABET-accredited program required). Master's degree preferred.
- Experience: 12+ years in coastal or municipal engineering, including at least 5 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership and communication abilities
- Strategic and analytical thinking
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS, and project management platforms
- Certification: Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
