Title: Senior Estimator - Transmission & Distribution
Salary: $140,000 - $180,000 DOE
Summary:
An established power delivery contractor is seeking a Senior Estimator to support transmission, distribution, and substation projects from its location in Overland Park, Kansas. This individual will be responsible for developing accurate estimates, analyzing project risks, reviewing bid documents, and helping secure major utility infrastructure projects.
The ideal candidate will have experience estimating utility construction projects and be comfortable working in a fast-paced EPC environment.
The Senior Estimator will be responsible for:
* Preparing complete conceptual and detailed cost estimates
* Reviewing drawings, specifications, and bid documents
* Developing labor, equipment, subcontractor, and material pricing
* Preparing bid proposals and supporting client presentations
* Collaborating with project management, engineering, and construction teams
The Senior Estimator should have the following qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
* 7+ years of estimating experience within power delivery, T&D, substation, utility, or heavy construction
* Strong understanding of utility construction methods and costs
* Experience preparing competitive bids for EPC projects
* InEight experience preferred
* Excellent communication and organizational skills
