Federal Construction PM (Puerto Rico)
As a Project Manager, reporting to the Operations Manager and Senior Vice President of Operations, you will be responsible for:
- Full ownership of project P&L, schedule, contract execution, and client relationships
- Planning, organizing, and staffing key field positions through department leadership
- Overseeing all aspects of the prime contract, including procurement, subcontract administration, scheduling, and closeout
- Establishing project goals, policies, procedures, and performance standards aligned with company guidelines
- Developing and managing processes for document control, including submittals, RFIs, shop drawings, and change orders
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, design teams, and subcontractors to support project execution
- Directing the construction process through site leadership to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget, while proactively addressing risks
- Managing financial components of contracts and subcontracts (invoicing, payments, modifications) while protecting the company's financial interests
- Ensuring subcontractor productivity, efficient use of materials and equipment, and adherence to the project schedule
Requirements:
- Proven experience managing at least three construction projects valued at $50M or more
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (or equivalent) plus 10+ years of construction management experience
- Strong written, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with tools such as Word, Excel, Bluebeam, P6, Prolog, or similar platforms
- Ability to implement effective management strategies to drive team performance
- Solid understanding of industry practices, processes, and standards and how they impact project delivery
- Prior experience with federal government clients preferred
- Professional certifications such as PE, EIT, or PMP are a plus
- Willingness to travel and relocate to project sites during construction phases
