A growing multidisciplinary engineering and architecture consulting firm is seeking a Fire Protection Engineer to support the design and analysis of fire protection and life safety systems across federal, institutional, municipal, and industrial projects.
Responsibilities
- Design fire alarm, fire suppression, and passive fire protection systems
- Perform life safety and building code analyses
- Develop reports, calculations, specifications, and construction documents
- Coordinate fire protection systems with multidisciplinary project teams
- Conduct site visits, field investigations, and construction administration activities
- Review shop drawings and support system installation and commissioning efforts
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical excellence across projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
- PE license in Fire Protection Engineering required
- 4+ years of fire protection engineering experience
- Strong knowledge of fire and life safety codes, standards, and system design
- Experience with Revit, hydraulic calculation software, and engineering design tools
- Ability to obtain a security clearance
