About the Opportunity
A nationally recognized engineering and environmental consulting firm is seeking a Fisheries Project Engineer to support the planning, design, and delivery of complex fisheries, fish passage, aquatic habitat, and water resources projects. The firm is known for tackling challenging environmental and infrastructure projects that balance engineering solutions with ecological stewardship.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the planning, design, and management of fisheries and water resource projects
- Collaborate with engineers, biologists, environmental scientists, and regulatory agencies
- Prepare technical reports, design documents, and project deliverables
- Assist with project management, scheduling, budgeting, and client coordination
- Participate in field investigations, site assessments, and construction support activities
- Contribute to fish passage, habitat restoration, and water infrastructure projects
- Work alongside multidisciplinary teams to develop practical and innovative solutions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline
- Experience supporting fisheries, river restoration, aquatic habitat, water resources, hydropower, or related infrastructure projects
- Strong technical writing and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders and project teams
- Experience with project coordination and client interaction is a plus
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or progress toward licensure is preferred
