About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Geotechnical Project Manager to lead and manage complex geotechnical engineering projects from inception to completion. This role involves technical oversight, client management, team leadership, and business development support. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in geotechnical design, site investigations, and construction support, with proven experience managing multidisciplinary teams and delivering high-quality results.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead geotechnical investigations, analyses, and design for infrastructure, commercial, and environmental projects.
- Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and deliverables.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure project objectives are met.
- Prepare and review technical reports, proposals, and construction documents.
- Mentor junior engineers and support staff.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Support business development efforts, including proposal writing and client presentations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required; GE license preferred (California).
- 5+ years of relevant geotechnical experience, including project management.
- Strong knowledge of soil mechanics, foundation engineering, slope stability, and ground improvement.
- Proficiency in geotechnical software (e.g., PLAXIS, GeoStudio, gINT, LPILE).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Experience with DOT, municipal, and private sector projects is a plus.
