Head of DC Operations

We are repsenting a rapidly expanding Data Center Developer/ Operator delivering hyperscale and enterprise digital infrastructure across the region. As part of its continued growth, the business is seeking an experienced Head of Data Center Operations to lead operational strategy, reliability, customer service, and critical facility performance across its portfolio.
This is a senior leadership position responsible for ensuring operational standards, maintaining uptime commitments, and building high-performing teams within a mission-critical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership for all Data Center operations, critical facilities, maintenance, and operational readiness activities.
- Ensure the reliability, availability, and resilience of electrical, mechanical, and cooling infrastructure across multiple facilities.
- Lead and develop a team of operations managers, critical facilities personnel, and technical specialists.
- Establish and drive best-in-class operational processes, including SOPs, MOPs, EOPs, incident management, and change management procedures.
- Oversee preventative and corrective maintenance programs in partnership with specialist service providers and vendors.
- Manage major incidents, root cause investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives to minimise operational risk.
- Collaborate closely with development, construction, engineering, commissioning, and customer-facing teams to support facility growth and expansion.
- Lead operational readiness and handover activities for new developments and capacity deployments.
- Maintain compliance with relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and quality management frameworks.
- Manage operational budgets, vendor performance, service contracts, and long-term asset lifecycle planning.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, ensuring high levels of service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Key Experience
- Experience leading Operations within Data Centers, critical infrastructure, mission-critical facilities, or comparable environments.
- Strong understanding of critical electrical and mechanical systems, including UPS, HV/MV/LV distribution, backup generation, cooling systems, and building management platforms.
- Proven track record overseeing uptime, reliability, maintenance, and operational risk management.
- Experience developing operational procedures, maintenance strategies, and governance frameworks.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage customers, vendors, and executive leadership teams.
