About the Opportunity

A respected architecture and design firm is seeking an experienced Project Interior Designer specializing in Healthcare to join its Orlando-based team. This leadership-focused role is ideal for a creative and technically skilled professional who excels at managing healthcare design projects, building strong client relationships, and mentoring design teams.
The successful candidate will play a key role in guiding projects from concept through completion while helping deliver innovative, functional, and patient-focused environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead healthcare interior design projects through all phases of design and project delivery.
  • Develop creative, practical, and aesthetically compelling design solutions that align with client objectives.
  • Prepare and oversee design presentations, specifications, finish selections, and project documentation.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and vendor partners.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams, including architects, designers, and external consultants.
  • Ensure projects are completed on schedule, within scope, and in accordance with quality standards.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and professional development support to junior and mid-level designers.
  • Apply expertise in healthcare design standards, materials, and best practices throughout project execution.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or a related field required.
  • Must be located in or able to work on-site in the Orlando, Florida area.
  • 10-12 years of professional interior design experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years focused experience within the healthcare sector.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare planning, finish materials, and interior applications.
  • Proven experience leading project teams and managing client relationships.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Strong leadership, mentoring, and team management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary environment.
  • NCIDQ certification preferred.

Technical Skills

Proficiency in the following software is highly preferred:
  • Revit
  • AutoCAD
  • SketchUp
  • 3ds Max
  • Adobe Photoshop
