A growing heavy civil contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager / Estimator to support both project execution and preconstruction efforts on a variety of infrastructure projects throughout the Richmond area. This role is ideal for someone with experience in site development, utilities, earthwork, and roadway construction.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage projects from award through completion
- Prepare estimates, quantity takeoffs, and bid proposals
- Review plans, specifications, and contract documents
- Oversee budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and procurement
- Coordinate with Superintendents and field teams to ensure successful project delivery
- Track project costs, change orders, and overall performance
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in Project Management, Estimating, or both within heavy civil construction
- Background in site development, utilities, earthwork, roadway, or infrastructure projects
- Ability to read and interpret civil drawings and specifications
- Experience with takeoff, estimating, and project management software
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
