Position Overview
They are seeking a motivated Junior Forensic Engineer to join their team. This role is ideal for an early‑career engineer passionate about failure investigations, building diagnostics, and structural or building‑enclosure performance. You will support senior engineers in investigating damage, defects, and performance issues across various building types.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with forensic investigations involving structures, building envelopes, and construction performance.
- Conduct field inspections and document structural or enclosure conditions.
- Support diagnostic testing such as moisture mapping, roofing assessments, and material evaluations.
- Help analyze potential causes of building failures, damage, or performance deficiencies.
- Contribute to detailed technical reports outlining findings and recommended solutions.
- Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team including architects, structural engineers, and building‑science specialists.
- Maintain accuracy, professionalism, and high technical standards in all work.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, Architectural Engineering, or related field.
- Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) credential or intent to obtain.
- Strong interest in forensic engineering, building diagnostics, construction materials, and structural analysis.
- Excellent technical writing and communication skills.
- Ability to travel for field investigations.
- Curiosity, strong analytical thinking, and eagerness to learn from experienced forensic engineers.
