Land Development Project Manager
Location: Rochester Hills area | Work Type: Full time hybrid
A well established, employee owned civil engineering, planning, and surveying consultancy is seeking an experienced Land Development Project Manager to join its growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to lead complex projects across a diverse portfolio, including K-12 education, healthcare, senior living, and commercial developments.
The Role
Reporting directly to senior leadership, you will take ownership of high value land development projects, leading multidisciplinary teams and ensuring successful delivery from concept through completion. This role combines technical expertise, client relationship management, and business development.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage civil site development projects from initiation to completion
- Lead and mentor engineers and design teams
- Deliver projects on time, within budget, and to high quality standards
- Build, maintain, and expand client relationships
- Support and drive business development, including proposals and presentations
- Represent the organisation at industry events, meetings, and community engagements
- Forecast workloads and manage project schedules effectively
- Contribute to team growth through mentoring, recruitment, and development
About You
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- Professional Engineering licence in Michigan
- Minimum 5 years experience in land development, with 10 or more years preferred
- Proven experience managing multidisciplinary teams and projects
- Strong commercial awareness with experience in client development and winning work
- Self motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
Working Environment
- Hybrid working model after probation with three days per week in office
- Regular client interaction, site visits, and occasional travel required
