Lead Mechanical Designer / Engineer - HVAC Focus
A growing engineering consulting firm is seeking a Lead Mechanical Designer or Engineer to join its team. This full-time role is ideal for an experienced professional with a strong background in HVAC production, especially within healthcare environments, who enjoys mentoring others and driving project success.
Location: Tampa, FL
Work Arrangement: On-site or hybrid depending on candidate preference and experience
Key Responsibilities:
Lead mechanical design efforts with a focus on HVAC systems.
Support and mentor a small team of designers and engineers.
Collaborate closely with senior engineering leadership to ensure project efficiency and quality.
Manage timelines and contribute to project execution from concept through completion.
Provide technical guidance and support in Revit and CAD.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical design or engineering.
Strong HVAC production experience; healthcare project experience is a plus.
Expert-level proficiency in Revit and CAD.
Proven ability to manage timelines and drive project execution.
Passion for mentoring and developing junior team members.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
