Lead Project Architect

A diversely skilled professional services firm in Wisconsin is seeking a Lead Project Architect in either Menomonie or the Milwaukee area. The firm is comprised of Architects, Engineers, Planners, Environmental Specialists, and Surveyors offering all aspects of community-focused infrastructure to clients. The ideal candidate for this position would have experience leading projects as a Project Architect, and has an ability to lead teams of junior to mid-level Architects and designers. Responsibilities:

  • Project Development: Partner with clients to evaluate scope of project and create solutions for them in the short and long-term.
  • Project Management: Delegate tasks and schedules to team members, establish a collaborative work flow, and oversee project progress.
  • Project Design: Lead design efforts and coordinate teams for facility assessments, programming, and design initiatives for projects.
  • Project Delivery: Lead project delivery strategy,lead bidding process and negotiations, and develop contracts.
  • Construction Services: Manage contract administration and oversee construction activities.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of working experience, with ideally 3-5+ years managing projects
  • Project background that includes Commercial, Government, Industrial, or Institutional work
  • Ability to work independently and/or lead project teams
  • Proficiency in Revit is heavily preferred
  • Experience preparing proposals, negotiating contracts, and managing client relationships
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture
  • Architectural Registration in Wisconsin required; NCARB certification preferred
