Position Summary

As a key member of the Instrument, Control, and Electrical (ICE) team, the Maintenance Supervisor (Electrical) plays a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient execution of electrical maintenance activities at the LNG Terminal. This position supports both day-to-day operations and long-term reliability of electrical systems across the facility.


Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead electrical technicians and contractors in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment.
  • Ensure all electrical work complies with safety protocols and relevant local and international electrical codes and standards.
  • Conduct site inspections and quality assurance checks to maintain high standards of workmanship.
  • Review and approve electrical-related permits, including isolation and excavation permits.
  • Lead investigations into electrical faults or incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with electrical engineers to develop and execute preventive maintenance programs to enhance equipment reliability.
  • Facilitate daily toolbox meetings with a focus on safety and effective task execution.
  • Support emergency response efforts and may be assigned specific roles during such events.
  • Mentor and guide team members through structured on-the-job training programs to build technical competency.

Qualifications

  • Degree or Diploma in Electrical, Electronic, Instrumentation, or Chemical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 8 years (or 15 years with a diploma) of supervisory experience in electrical maintenance within the oil & gas or petrochemical industry.
  • Strong technical expertise in low and medium voltage systems, power transmission, motors, PLCs, CCTV, security systems, earthing, and lightning protection. Familiarity with DCS is an advantage.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
  • Self-driven, adaptable, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
