About the Role
As an Estimator, you'll play a key role in shaping project success from the earliest stages. You'll work closely with internal teams and external partners to develop accurate, competitive bids and ensure all aspects of HVAC and plumbing systems are accounted for.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze drawings, specifications, and bid documents to define project scope
- Perform detailed takeoffs for HVAC piping, ductwork, and plumbing systems
- Collaborate with vendors and subcontractors to gather pricing and technical data
- Prepare comprehensive estimates including materials, labor, and equipment
- Identify gaps in documentation and ensure complete system coverage
- Support multiple projects simultaneously with changing priorities
- Communicate clearly across teams and contribute to a collaborative work culture
What You'll Bring
- 5-10 years of experience in HVAC and/or plumbing within the construction field
- Strong understanding of building systems, codes, and construction methods
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
- Experience with Trimble AutoBid, Excel, and On-Screen Takeoff preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
