[MELB] Commissioning Senior Engineer/Manager
Job Responsibilities
- Lead end‑to‑end commissioning activities across complex, live construction projects
- Manage commissioning execution in close coordination with construction program and milestones
- Oversee both consultant-led and contractor-led commissioning scopes
- Act as the technical authority for M&E systems during commissioning and handover phases
- Drive commissioning strategy aligned with data center processes and operational readiness
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including GCs, subcontractors, vendors, and consultants
- Identify, resolve, and escalate construction or commissioning-related technical issues
- Ensure systems are commissioned safely, compliantly, and in line with performance requirements
- Support integrated testing, systems verification, and final client acceptance
- Maintain clear communication across stakeholders in fast-paced delivery environments
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Commissioning Manager within mission‑critical or data center projects
- Background working for a General Contractor or specialist subcontractor
- Strong understanding of data center construction and commissioning processes
- Technically strong across Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) systems
- Demonstrated experience commissioning building services and critical infrastructure
- Ability to manage complex construction interfaces and large onsite teams
- Strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills
- Comfortable operating in high-pressure, schedule-driven project environments
