MEP QC Manager
A leading general contractor is looking for an experienced MEP QC Manager to join their New York team, working across a portfolio of billion dollar projects. This isn't a single job, it's a pipeline of large scale, high value builds spanning mission critical, commercial, and complex ground-up developments across the five boroughs and surrounding markets. This is an excellent opportunity for a QC professional who wants consistent exposure to some of the biggest and most technically demanding projects in the region, without the uncertainty of a single project ending.
What You'll Do
- Lead MEP quality control across multiple large scale, billion dollar projects at any given time
- Develop, implement, and enforce QA/QC procedures for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing scopes
- Coordinate closely with owner reps, design engineers, and trade partners to identify and resolve quality issues quickly
- Manage inspections, testing, punch lists, and closeout documentation across project stages
- Review shop drawings and submittals to ensure compliance with contract documents and codes
- Support commissioning processes and ensure systems are delivered to the highest standard
- Drive a strong culture of accountability, documentation, and first time quality across all site teams
- Mentor junior QC staff and support project teams with best practice guidance
What You Bring
- 8+ years of experience in MEP QC, ideally gained on data center, mission critical, healthcare, or other large scale commercial projects
- Strong technical knowledge of MEP systems, applicable codes, and commissioning processes
- Proven experience working directly with GCs, owner reps, or CM firms on projects valued in the hundreds of millions to billions
- A confident, detail-oriented communicator who can hold trade partners and subcontractors accountable
- Comfortable managing multiple projects or workstreams simultaneously
- OSHA 30 and relevant QC certifications preferred
- Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus but not essential with the right experience
