A well-established structural and civil engineering consulting firm is seeking a Mid-Senior Structural Engineer to join its growing team in the Cleveland area. For nearly four decades, the firm has provided structural engineering, civil engineering, inspection, rehabilitation, and consulting services to clients across commercial, industrial, institutional, residential, and restoration markets throughout the Midwest and nationwide. The firm delivers engineering solutions for new construction, structural repairs, additions, renovations, forensic evaluations, condition assessments, and construction support services.

The Role
The successful candidate will play a key role in the analysis, design, assessment, and delivery of structural projects from concept through construction. This position is ideal for an engineer seeking increased technical responsibility, client interaction, and project leadership opportunities without sacrificing hands-on engineering work.
Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis and design for steel, concrete, masonry, and wood structures.
- Prepare engineering calculations, reports, specifications, and construction documents.
- Conduct structural investigations, condition assessments, and field inspections.
- Develop repair and rehabilitation solutions for existing structures.
- Coordinate with architects, contractors, owners, and multidisciplinary project teams.
- Review drawings and deliverables for technical accuracy and code compliance.
- Support construction administration activities, including site visits and responding to field issues.
- Mentor junior engineers and designers as project responsibilities increase.
- Manage multiple projects while maintaining quality, schedule, and budget expectations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a Structural Engineering focus.
- 5+ years of structural engineering experience.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or ability to obtain in the near future.
- Experience designing and evaluating building structures.
- Strong knowledge of applicable building codes and industry standards.
- Experience with structural analysis and design software.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Revit.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to conduct site visits and structural field investigations.
