Role Overview
We are seeking an accomplished Mining Technical Expert (Metals & Mining) to join their Jakarta office. This senior role will focus on delivering high-level technical and market analysis for metals, particularly nickel, coal, and aluminum. You will be instrumental in shaping research outputs, engaging with clients, and representing the company at industry events.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead technical and market analysis on metals, including price movements, supply-demand trends, and global market dynamics.
- Provide expert insights on mining operations and engineering to support research and client advisory services.
- Deliver impactful presentations to clients and industry audiences, simplifying complex commodity topics.
- Represent the organization at conferences and forums as a subject matter expert.
- Monitor global commodity trends and assess implications for Indonesia and Southeast Asia.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders and internal teams to ensure accuracy and depth in research outputs.
Qualifications & Experience
- 15+ years of experience in mining, with deep expertise in nickel, coal, and aluminum.
- Strong technical background in mining and engineering, with proven analytical skills.
- Excellent English communication skills for client-facing presentations and industry representation.
- Confident public speaker, able to engage large audiences and explain complex topics clearly.
- Comprehensive understanding of local and global commodity markets is preferred.
- Comfortable working on-site (5 days a week) and engaging with senior stakeholders.
