About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Plumbing Engineer to join our dynamic team. This is a fully remote position open to candidates located in Colorado. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, strong communication skills, and a collaborative mindset to support a wide range of commercial, institutional, and mixed-use projects.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop plumbing systems including domestic water, sanitary, storm, and natural gas systems.
- Prepare construction documents, specifications, and calculations in compliance with applicable codes and standards.
- Coordinate with internal MEP teams and external architects, contractors, and clients.
- Perform site visits and field investigations as needed (minimal travel).
- Review submittals and respond to RFIs during construction administration.
- Contribute to sustainable design initiatives and LEED documentation when applicable.
- Mentor junior engineers and support project management efforts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 5-15 years of experience in plumbing design for commercial and institutional buildings.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit; familiarity with Navisworks and Bluebeam is a plus.
- Strong understanding of applicable codes (IPC, UPC, NFPA, ASPE standards).
- PE license preferred but not required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively with a distributed team.
