About the Role:
A growing engineering and infrastructure consulting firm is seeking a Process Engineer to support the planning, design, and delivery of industrial water and wastewater treatment projects. This role is part of a high-growth team focused on helping industrial clients meet environmental and operational goals through innovative water solutions.
Position Summary:
This is a hands-on engineering role involving the design and technical execution of treatment systems for industrial water and wastewater applications. The ideal candidate will bring strong process knowledge, design experience, and a collaborative mindset to support multidisciplinary teams and client engagements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Contribute to the design and permitting of treatment facilities, pipelines, and related infrastructure for industrial clients.
* Develop process flow diagrams, technical reports, and construction documentation.
* Apply hydraulic and process modeling tools to evaluate system performance and optimize designs.
* Coordinate with internal teams, external consultants, and clients to ensure project alignment and quality.
* Interpret regulatory requirements and integrate them into project deliverables.
* Support construction administration, including submittal reviews and field coordination.
* Participate in quality control reviews and ensure adherence to project schedules and budgets.
* Travel occasionally for site visits, client meetings, and project coordination.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering.
* At least 5 years of experience in industrial water/wastewater design and permitting.
* Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required.
* Familiarity with hydraulic modeling software (e.g., WaterCAD, WaterGEMS) and GIS tools.
* Strong understanding of treatment processes and system hydraulics.
* Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently or as part of a team.
* Valid driver's license and ability to meet background and drug screening requirements.
