Job Title: Product Manager (Research & Insights) - Energy Storage / SaaS / IoT
Location: Singapore
We are partnering with a fast-growing global energy technology company to hire a Product Manager (Research & Insights) to support its international product team.
This role focuses on market intelligence, user insights, and data-driven product strategy, playing a key role in shaping next-generation energy and digital platform solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Competitive Intelligence
- Develop and maintain structured competitive monitoring frameworks
- Track competitor products, feature updates, and market strategies
- Deliver insights on positioning, opportunities, and emerging risks
Market & Trend Research
- Analyze global energy storage trends, policy changes, and emerging technologies
- Assess regional market dynamics and customer demand differences
- Provide actionable insights to inform product roadmap decisions
User Research & Insights
- Gather and analyze feedback from international users and stakeholders
- Identify key pain points across end-users, installers, and operators
- Translate insights into product and experience improvements
Regulatory & Compliance Research
- Monitor energy storage regulations and standards across markets
- Evaluate the impact of regulatory changes on product development
- Support compliance-related product planning
Product Strategy Support
- Partner with product teams on research-driven decision making
- Contribute to product requirements (PRDs) and planning discussions
- Provide structured recommendations backed by data and insights
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or above (Energy, Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or related fields)
- 3+ years of experience in product management, market research, or strategy roles
- Strong ability to independently conduct research and synthesize insights
- Familiarity with product development processes and cross-functional collaboration

- Ability to convert research into actionable product strategies
Industry Understanding
- Exposure to energy storage, renewable energy, or IoT preferred
- Able to quickly understand technical and commercial landscapes

- Clear, concise reporting and presentation skills
- Ability to distinguish facts, assumptions, and recommendations
Self-Driven
- Proactive, independent, and comfortable working across time zones
- Strong ownership of research domains and outputs
Language
- Fluent English (written and spoken) required
- Mandarin is a plus
Nice to Have
- Experience in energy storage, solar PV, EV charging, or energy management
- Background in consulting, market intelligence, or analyst roles
- Exposure to B2B / SaaS products
- Experience working with international stakeholders
