Our client is seeking a Senior Business Development Leader to drive strategic growth within their Land Development practice. You'll be instrumental in expanding the firm's private development portfolio-residential, commercial, and mixed-use-while working alongside a respected leadership team that values initiative, collaboration, and long-term vision.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead business development strategy for the land development sector in the Sacramento region and surrounding markets.
- Identify and secure new client relationships, project opportunities, and strategic partnerships.
- Collaborate with technical teams to develop proposals, presentations, and pursuit strategies.
- Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and client meetings.
- Provide market intelligence and insights to inform growth planning and positioning.
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to a culture of business development excellence.
Qualifications
- Proven success in business development, client management, or leadership roles within civil engineering, land development, or related industries.
- Strong network of relationships with developers, builders, architects, and public agencies in Northern California.
- Strategic thinker with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Background in civil engineering, planning, or surveying is a plus but not required.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to grow into a Principal-level role.
